Overview

We are seeking a part-time Chaplain to work with our residents in our Assisted Living facilities!

 

Schedule includes: This position is scheduled for 25-30 hours per pay period. Daytime hours, does include a weekend rotation.

About our community

Catholic Eldercare is a community of residential facilities in Northeast Minneapolis offering services in assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, memory care, transitional care and adult day services.

Responsibilities

  • Regular visits with residents as a Pastoral/spiritual presence
  • Collaborate with Pastoral Care team and Interdisciplinary team, participate in care conferences as needed
  • Conduct communal prayer services on unit as scheduled
  • Arrange that Sacramental needs for residents are met as requested
  • Able to administer sacramental communion is required

 

Qualifications

  • Degree in Theology or Pastoral ministry preferred
  • 1-2 units of CPE, or equivalent training or experience
  • Two+ years of experience working in long term care or hospice preferred
  • Broad understanding of diverse religious traditions
  • Active member in a church/temple/mosque of applicant's faith tradition or spiritual community
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively
