We are seeking a Dining aide for our long term care facility to work 4 to 8 on Friday and 6:30 to 3pm every other Saturday and Sunday. 

Schedule includes every other holiday rotation.

About our community

Catholic Eldercare is a community of residential facilities in Northeast Minneapolis offering services in assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, memory care, transitional care and adult day services.

• Perform job duties per the scheduled job assignment to include; meal preparation, serving, dish washing, putting stock away, and clean up following all kitchen guidelines.
• Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of Dining Services Department, i.e., kitchen, dining room, and storage areas.
• Understand the resident’s diets and correct procedure of serving all meals. Assist residents as needed during the dining hour.
• Observe and report resident’s intake at mealtime as required while demonstrating sensitivity to residents’ needs and maintaining a kind and respectful manner.

• Ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions and trainings in English. 
• Ability to work independently and dependably to efficiently deliver care to meet residents needs. Ability to work with residents and coworkers from diverse backgrounds.
• Able to lift 35 pounds on a regular basis. 

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The noise level in the work environment is often noisy. Ear protection is provided but may not mitigate all noise.  

Steam and fumes from cooking appliances are all potential odors found in the workplace. Protective and safety equipment is provided to protect workers.
