Overview

We are seeking a Full Time Life Enrichment Coordinator for our assisted living and memory care community in NE Minneapolis! Join our fast-paced, fun and supportive team dedicated to serving seniors to enrich their lives through meaningful activities. This positing works collaboratively with our other Life Enrichment team members at our assisted living communities.

 

Schedule: This is a Monday through Friday position that works approximately 8:30am-5:00pm. At times, may require an evening rotation and may inlude an occassional weekend day shift.

About our community:

Catholic Eldercare is a nonprofit, faith-based organization made up of several communities in the Minneapolis/north metro area, offering services in assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, memory care, transitional care, and adult day services.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement life enrichment programming for River Village East, which is a 70-apartment assisted living and memory care community.
  • Plan monthly activities calendar, including organizing and implementing social, recreational, educational, musical, intergenerational, and spiritual activities for residents including daily and special events.
  • Motivate residents to participate in activities as determined by their care plan and activities assessment.
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, family members, and visitors.
  • Collaborate with life enrichment and pastoral care team to ensure wellness and spiritual needs are met.
  • Organize, assist with, and facilitate parties, games, trips, and other departmental activities in which residents participate, as well as make appropriate arrangements for offsite group activities.
  • Transport residents to group activities.
  • Post daily activities and special events, coordinate seasonal decorating.
  • Determine supply and equipment needs, and notify director or purchase per director approval.
  • Direct volunteers as assigned for the department.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with seniors and those that have cognitive and physical disabilities, specifically in senior living communities.
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to work as a team member and also independently, and ablility to multi-task
  • Ideal candidates may have background in Therapeutic Recreation, COTA, Health, Education or Music Therapy.
