Overview

We are seeking a Part-Time Therapeutic Recreation Coordinator for our Senior Living Community in Blaine, MN! Join our fast-paced, fun and supportive team dedicated to serving seniors to enrich their lives through meaningful activities. 

 

Schedule: This is a weekday, dayshift position.  At times, may require an evening rotation and may inlude an occassional weekend day shift.

About our community:

Catholic Eldercare is a community of residential facilities in Northeast Minneapolis and Blaine, MN offering services in assisted living, independent living, skilled nursing, memory care, transitional care, and adult day services.

Responsibilities

  • Leading Group activities like bingo, trivia, reminisce, exercise groups, baking, crafts and games
  • Visiting with residents 1:1 to meet emotional and psychosocial needs.
  • Assist with planning and implementing exciting socials, outings, special events and more!
  • Taking residents on outings and driving the community bus.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with seniors and those that have cognitive and physical disabilities
  • CTRF preferred, but not required
  • Must have excellent customer service and communication skills, ability to work as a team member and also independently, and ablility to multi-task
  • Ideal candidates may have background in Therapeutic Recreation, COTA, Health, Education or Music Therapy.
